Obituary: Published in the Tri-City Herald on, November 3, 2017

Pam Peterson was born on April 5, 1950 to Tom and Millie McDermott in Richland, WA. Pam was with her fraternal twin sister Paula, at birth and as she passed.

She married Roger Peterson on December 29th, 1975. Roger and Pam built their family home in Finley, WA, moving there in the summer of 1979, with their two children and the expectation of more.

Pam’s family enjoyed several outdoor outings together with friends and family; from hunting trips, to camping and boating, the family loved the fresh air and great outdoors.

In 1996, Pam’s world would be rocked with illness, a disease in the brain that would change the family’s lives forever. She retired from her job as a special services dispatcher with the Kennewick School District where she drove bus off and on for some 17 years. She dearly loved her special kids.

Pam is preceded in death by her parents Tom and Millie, brother Tim and sister Patti, son Danny and granddaughter Caitlin-Rose; nephew Michael Sr. She is survived by her husband Roger, children: Ryan, Karyn (Kelly) and David. Grandchildren: Darien, Adrielle, Kailey and Micah. Great-grandson, River. Siblings: Paula (Ron), Judy (Patrick) and Kevin (Laurene). Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and friends for life.

A service will be held in Pam’s honor on Saturday, November 4, 2017, 11 a.m. at Columbia Memorial Chapel (224 S. 24th Avenue, Pasco, WA 99301). Graveside services will follow.

To The Chaplaincy: Thank you for creating such a safe, comforting space for families to love, pray and grieve. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Chaplaincy Hospice House (1480 Fowler Street, Richland, WA 99352).
