Wesley Hopkins Brewton, 83, of Kennewick, died, January 22, 2016, at Trios Health, in Kennewick. 

He was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on September 1, 1932, to Alton Beverly and Earline Bessie Vestina Gina (Wesley) Brewton. He graduated in 1950 from High School, in St. Louis. In 1950 he went into the U.S. Airforce, in 1954, he was Honorable Discharged. In 1962, he went to a trade tech school in Los Angeles, California. He became a Barbecue Chef. He married on February 14, 1970, to Dorothy Mae Lottie. He also resided in Seattle, Washington, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, and Brooklyn, New York. Wesley enjoyed many hobbies, model airplanes, fishing, hunting, reading, and history.

Wesley is survived by, his brother, Wilbert Brewton, St Louis, Missouri, sisters, Earlene Springer, Detroit, Michigan, and Alvine Alston, Seattle, Washington, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by, his mother and father, his son, Wesley H. Brewton, Jr, a brother, Alton Brewton and two sisters, Elizabeth Brewton and Nancy Kimbrough.

At his request, there will be no services.

Wesley H. Brewton Sr., 83, of Kennewick, died Jan. 22 at Trios Southridge Hospital in Kennewick.

He was born in St. Louis, Mo., and lived in Kennewick for 15 years.

He was a retired chef and business owner of Wes’ BBQ in Providence, R.I.

Columbia Memorial Funeral Chapel, Pasco, is in charge of arrangements.
